EdCIL (India) Limited ( EdCIL), formerly known as Educational Consultants India Limited, a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Human Resource Development ( MHRD), offers consultancy services in all areas of education and human resource development.  EdCIL is the nodal agency for organizing admission of International Students (Foreign Nationals / PIO’s/ NRI’s) to pursue Diploma, Under Graduate, Post-Graduate and Doctoral Programmes in premier Indian Educational Institutions.

Admissions currently being offered are:

1. Direct Admission of Students Abroad ( DASA Scheme) for 2009-2010
   Admission of Foreign Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI’s) to the various undergraduate Engineering / Information Technology / Architecture programmes in 14 NIT’s, 2 IIIT’s and 4 other Institutions (including PEC – Chandigarh)
   
   
2. NRI Quota at NIT – Trichy for 2009-2010
   Admission of only Non-Resident Indians 9 NRI’s) to the various undergraduate Engineering / Architecture programmes in National Institute of Technology, Trichy.The detailed “Guidelines and Application Form for 2009-2010” in respect of DASA as well as NRI Quota at NIT-Trichy as mentioned above, can be downloaded from our following websites: www.edcil.co.in (or) www.educationindia4u.nic.in. The last date for submission of application form along with the supporting documents and fees is 30th June 2009 for both schemes.
   
   
3. Self – Financing Scheme ( SFS)

Admission for Foreign Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) & Non-Resident Indians (NRI’s) is being offered to:

UG/PG and Diploma Programmes in 24 Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM’s) and 6 Food Craft Institutes under National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT)

UG/PG/Doctoral Programmes in Agriculture/ Veterinary Sciences at 40 Agricultural Universities throughout India under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Various courses in other premier and reputed EdCIL’s associated Institutes located at various places of India.
